State College is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around State College is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The Corner Room is one of those iconic Penn State restaurants that you almost have to visit when you're in town. We stopped in for a late breakfast around 10:30 AM and quickly realized we weren't the only ones with that idea. The wait was about 45 minutes, so definitely plan accordingly if you're coming during a busy weekend. Once we were seated, though, everything moved quickly. Service was friendly and efficient, the drinks were made well, and the food came out surprisingly fast considering how busy the restaurant was. The food was very good, with the skillet corned beef hash being the standout for me. Definitely worth ordering. Overall, a great experience and exactly the type of classic college-town restaurant I was hoping for. The wait was the only downside, but once you're seated, they do a great job getting everything out quickly. If you're visiting Penn State, The Corner Room should be on your list. Go with confidence, just maybe don't go starving because you could be waiting a while!

Iβm a savory breakfast guy. (BUT!) The omelet was very good and the potatoes and toast were solid but not spectacular. Coffee was good. NOW, the jumbo muffin I split it was insanely delicious. We also tried 2 cocktails (french75 and espresso martini) and that was the best espresso martini Iβve ever had. The server was so kind, helpful, and patient. Awesome. And it was slightly pricy.

Celebrating their 100 year anniversary - itβs a State College staple. Always a positive experience at the Corner Room and their house blend coffee from Rothrock Coffee Roasters is available to take home alongside the original grilled stickies!! (rip ye olde college diner) Breakfast was good, hot and fresh. Ambiance was inviting, historic, and nostalgic; Penn state forward in full blue & white.

Fluffiest onion rings! All the food was delicious and fried to perfection! The southern fried chicken sandwhich was delicious! I understand how this place is open for 100 years! Staff were very kind and helpful.

Returning my son to PSU after the Thanksgiving break and we decided to stop in for brunch. We did not have a reservation but timed it well. We were seated in the main bar area within a few minutes of arrival. 10-15 minutes later the lobby was filled with people looking for a table. Not sure if they were understaffed that day, we waited a bit for our waitress to take our order. My coffee came to the table when I went to the bathroom, no creamer was left. The food came out in a reasonable time, I had the blueberry pancakes and my son the waffle. The food was very good, they do use real Maple Syrup which I appreciate. The price was reasonable for the quality of food. There is enough on the menu to satisfy most people. I like the decor of the restaurant, they had it decorated for the holidays.
